Yeah, That Happened

Fancy, huh? There's this wonderful designer dubbed My Little Buffalo that created this masterpeice. I don't know if you guys remember my obsession with Clothy, aka the greatest tablecloth ever from Target, but that's what I gave her for the inspiration behind Basil Vodka. Yep. You read right. My blog is based on a tablecloth.

I'm going to work on rewriting some of my pages at the top too, since my focus of the blog has changed quite a bit in the past few months. Also, you may notice on the right hand side I have a button that says "I'm Speaking!" at the Type A Mom Conference. To clarify: I am not a mom. I actually have the wonderful opportunity to speak at a conference about how bloggers and PR professionals work together. Oddly enough, even though if you're reading this you clearly know me as a blogger, but during the normal 9-5 I work in PR and Marketing. Meaning at this conference I'll be talking to a roomful of the nation's most powerful bloggers about how their industry can work with my industry. No pressure.

Speaking about work being stressful, I went to the Hot Power Fusion at Corepower last night. According to the site:

Hot Power Fusion moves between Hot Yoga's static and systematic holds and CorePower's Vinyasa Flow. Students will receive the benefits of a Hot Yoga class with further hip opening, upper body and core strengthening benefits. The class, taught in a room heated to 98-100 degrees, will appeal to the traditional Hot Yoga student who is looking to deepen their yoga practice. All levels, including beginners, are welcome and will find this class accessible.

It was so hot. You have no idea. I brought two towels and soaked through them both. Interesting to note, that when doing downward dog--or really any pose that has you upside down--sweat from your face goes into your nose and causes a choking hazard. Just saying.

So after class I looked like I had just jumped out of a pool. Hair drenched. Clothes soaked. Heaven forbid I go home, I actually headed to TJ's to smell up their store...I mean buy some dinner.

Baked Tofu tossed with steamed broccoli and mushrooms with a smidge of TJ's spicy peanut vinaigrette.

Simple dinner, but it was fantastic. You all know how much I love steamin' my veggies.

Questions
  • Anything you want me to say in my speech about how bloggers should work with PR reps?
  • Have you ever gone grocery shopping when you were supersonic gross after a workout?
  • And finally, what do you think of the new look?

  3. I've definitely been to grocery store totally SWEATY with hair slicked back...usually only in desperation. I try not to make a habit of it but I did go once (just once!) recently after Bikram yoga. Oops! Love your new look. :)

  13. I LOVE the new site!! Seriously, it's super cute and clean looking. She did a great job!!

Good luck speaking at the conference. What a cool opportunity!!

And yes, I've definitely gone to the grocery store all sweaty. There is one in the same complex as my gym, so it's so easy to just run over once I'm done working out. I'm sure they see that all the time though.
