I'm Back

Sorry for the delayed vacay guys, but I just got back from a lovely weekend in the Wisconsin Dells. And my apologizes to Bud Light, but this is the sure sign of a good time.

Tequila, Vodka, Vodka, Vodka and Whiskey.

I hit the road on Friday with four of my very dear friends, and met up with our two out-of-staters for a much needed weekend vacation at the waterpark. On Saturday we ate at Pedro's, this fantastic Mexican restaurant right on the strip. Yes, Wisconsin has a strip.

I ordered a Mug-a-Rita. Not a Margarita, because then it wouldn't be served in a 34 oz. mug.

Delicioso.

Dinner was fantastic, too. I ordered the veggie fajitas, and I don't know when cauliflower and broccoli became Mexican standards in fajitas, but I'll take it.

Veg Fajitas.

On Saturday we also went to go get old time photos taken. Don't worry, we did buy the copyrights to our photos so I have the legal rights to post this picture.

My girls.

Now I'm back in Minnesota, ready to get back into the swing of life that includes eating and blogging. Since the Wisconsin Dells was a little bit of an early birthday celebration for me, I did get an early present. I'm now the proud owner of a food processor. Thanks again, ladies!

Questions
  • Have you ever been to the Wisconsin Dells?
  • Do you have any end of the summer vacation plans?
  • What's the first thing I should make in my new food processor?

  1. I've always wanted to do those old timey photos! And I'm loving your mug-a-rita. With your food processor you should make hummus, or maybe some pesto!

  3. My end of summer plans is a trip to Canada. It's not supposed to get back into the 70s after this week though, so we'll probably have pretty bad weather.

  6. Happy birthday! I use my mini food processor all the time for things like chopping onions/garlic/tomatoes/cilantro for salsa, homemade hummus, etc. and I use my big-daddy food processor (it's 20 years old!) pretty much only for pie crust. It's great for making pizza dough, too!

  11. Food processor = Banana soft serve and nut butters. I am SO JEALOUS! Also, the mugarita reminds me of the college days, there was a great place that would have 32 oz margaritas for $7. Oh the good ol' days.

  14. Given your past I would think that pesto would be appropriate. Ha a raw date cake might be nice too. All I know is that food processors come in handy at the most random times.
