Truth: The burger I posted in yesterday's Wordless Weekend is without a doubt the best veggie burger in the Twin Cities. Found at the one and only Joe's Garage. According to the menu this little gem is:
Southwestern Veggie black bean, corn & falafel with asiago, avocado, and pico de gallo in a flour tortilla with a side of chipotle ranch
Yep. Delish. So yesterday I went to TJ's to see if I couldn't do a decent copy of this non-burger in wrap.
Twenty Dollars worth of food
Shopping spree includes waffles, two packs of tofu, persian cucumbers, avocado, spinach tortillas, horseradish hummus, veg burgers, chocolate almond milk and marinara sauce. I love this shopping trip because I haven't boughten waffles in at least two years. It just sounded like a good idea at the time.
As for the horseradish hummus, that's okay. Not my favorite. I'm going to say good in moderation, but if you want to have more than two tablespoons of hummus in a single sitting I'd vote getting a less-intense flavor.
Okay. Anyways. Burger.
Veg burger with avocado, red peppers, onions and ketchup in a spinach tortilla. With almond milk.
The verdict? Definitely not the same thing, but I'm going to make a notion. All burgers should be served in wraps. Way better than buns. That way you can taste the veggies inside instead of just a mouthful of bread.
